BUMED is requesting IDC nominations to participate in the 2009 IDC of the Year Award Program. The winner will be announced at the 3rd annual 2009, Joint Armed Forces Operational Medical Symposium (AFOMS), 14-19 June 2009.
Eligibility:
Each Commander, Commanding Officer or Officer in Charge May nominate one Indepedent Duty Corpsman (IDC) with the NEC 8402, 8403, 8425 or 8494 in paygrades E-5 to E-7 who, through his or her exceptional peformance, has significantly contributed to Operational Medicine, Combat Readiness and overall health and welfare of their Sailors and/or Marines.
All IDCs (E-5 to E-7) currently serving on active duty ashore or afloat and who have served for the duration of the award period, may be nominated. Previous winners are eligible. Personnel assigned to Marine Corps units are eligible.
Their contributions should include, but are not limited to:
Information provided for IDC of the Year shall cover only outstanding performance dating from May 2008 to May 2009.
Nomination packages shall be submitted no later than 14 May 2009. Any packages received after 14 May will not be processed for the board to review.
