All, the much awaited and often promised AFMIC MEDIC CE is now here!
Once you log into your AFMIC account http://www.afmic.detrick.army.mil, the right hand column has a box:

Downloadable MEDIC Now Available The AFMIC MEDIC is now being
distributed by downloadable files. First log onto your AFMIC account, then go to: file:///medic_ud.php for details.

When you visit the above link, it takes you to the following page:

About the MEDIC. Use and Distribution
The AFMIC MEDIC has been produced for official use within the U.S.
Government, and distribution is limited to U.S. Government agencies.
Requests for this document from outside the U.S. Government must be
referred to the Defense Intelligence Agency, Washington DC 20340-0001.
This means call or e-mail me/afmicops before releasing!

The AFMIC MEDIC is still intended to be burned to a CD for official U.S.
Government personnel/agencies who require access to AFMIC's medical
intelligence.

The AFMIC MEDIC is self-contained and can be run from a hard drive, CD,
DVD, or other removable media with a web browser (internet access is not
necessary).

The 2008 version of the AFMIC Medical Environmental Disease Intelligence
and Countermeasures (MEDIC) will be distributed via downloadable files
from the AFMIC web site. This will allow you to obtain timely updates to
the MEDIC; it will also allow you to customize the MEDIC to suit your
specific needs or area of responsibility.

Hope this makes everything much more accessible and as just as
importantly, current. Always e-mail afmicops or at least go to this
website to ensure you have the latest information to make your decisions
with. Any feedback will certainly be appreciated, whether on content or
just how AFMIC generally does business. Part of my job is to make it
work for you. I also need feedback after deployments so we can update
things to say we were right or not as well as to add additional
information as you come across it.
