Greetings Shipmates!

First off, are there any fellow Coastie Corpsman present?
I just wanted to say what a great web site this is.
I am finnally embarking upon the journey into Independant Duty shortly, I recieved orders to a ship in August in conjuction with orders to our farely new Coast Guard Independant Duty HS School located in Petaluma, CA.
We formerly attended the IDC school in San Diego, CA.
So I am excited beyond belief to not only finnally get to this point of my career (I will hit 9 years this June), but to go through the new school will be great.
This has been the goal for me to get to Independant duty for as long as I can remember wanting to be a Corpsman. I have worked my rear off studying, and doing my clinical time.

Class for me starts Monday! 07JAN08.

Anyhow I just wanted to say hello. Pointers if you have them. I will be buried in the books for the next few months! :)
