Does anyone know of any nursing programs ASN or BSN that will give you credit for IDC school.

I heard CA and NY will, but after I retired in 1997, I went to nursing school in MS on the Gulf Coast. At that time, they did not give you but a few elective credits for being on active duty. You are better off not letting them know that you have far more of a broader medical knowledge base while you are in school. The nursing instructors don't know what we did on active duty and have a hard time believing that a "Nonlicensed Enlisted Person" could diagnose, treat and perscribe medications. Sit back and enjoy them trying to tell you how hard nursing school is and try to pretend to take notes. I have been a nurse now for 10 years. Can't do even 10% of what I could do on active duty. Hope this helps a bit. Knock out all of your college class electives while you are on active duty prior to retiring. Makes nursing school a breeze.

Check with the school house at San Diego. I know while I was going through a majority of the instructors were going through a Nursing program that was geared towards Navy IDC's. That was just 3 years ago.
