Hello IDC's throughout the world...
Can anyone tell me what uniform will be worn while in school? I am currently in Camp Lejeune and will be attending the OCT class. Are we going to be in the new uniforms or the "classic" working blues/whites. Can someone please help me out....
Shipmate,
I'm currently attending school in the Class ahead of you. Ensure that you report in your dress uniform. As of right now, all of the IDC Classes are currently wearing UTILITIES in class. For clinicals we will wear the OLD Working Uniforms for the time being. Good luck. BTW, make sure that you have all of your ducks in a row before getting over here. (i.e. Make sure your package is GTG with Documentation of the Sickcall Screeners Course or 60 Clinical Hours of sickcall...) See you in a month or so...

I called the school house (619-532-9712) and the Petty Officer that answered said that the new task force uniform was optional. The perscribed uniform of the day is the seasonal working uniform. The new PTU's are in effect and required.
Your basic UOD will be utilities(the prison blues), after 31Jul when the new uniforms arrive you will have the option to wear those or your whites while standing watch at the BEQ. Oh, and if you don't already have the new PTU buy a couple of sets.
When you check on board to the school house, you can be in your working whites. You will be in your working whites for the first couple of days in class, and then once things keep off, you will be wearing utilities for the rest of the year, unless notified otherwise.
