LOL... I guess that I am really giving away / telling my age with that photo... obviously some folks on here way too young to recall the Navy of the Zumwaldt era... during the 1970s to mid 1980s, men in the Navy were allowed to wear beards... That photo was taken in 1984 at the graduation ceremony for Class 29, Advanced Hospital Corps school. No modifications or alterations to the photo...

Nope I remember the beards...had to shave mine off to join the class of 8425-44, 27 June 1985 out of San Diego.
